Landon is looking forward to the weekend, but he knows nothing will go according to plan. It never does when the Winchesters are involved. It’s really a matter of how bad it will get that worries him the most. His boss, Steve, will be staying at the Inn along with other colleagues, and Landon is concerned that things will get out of hand. After all, having all seven Winchester witches together is a guarantee that things are bound to explode sooner or later.

Landon Calling is one of the shorts by Amanda Lee that helps readers get more in-depth with the individual characters in her A Wicked Witches of the Midwest series. The male characters are all different people, and Landon, the most well-known boyfriend of Bay, plays the biggest role in the series.

Although this is a short, there is a lot of action packed into the story. Aunt Tillie as always is of paramount importance to everyone. She is up to her old tricks, but for the first time, she gets to test her wit and skill against another FBI agent that neither she nor Landon likes. It is fascinating to see Aunt Tillie go after “the man” on her territory and watch as she causes more worry than normal.

This is a delightful story with characters readers have come to love and look upon as family. For those who have not read any of the series or shorts, it is advisable to go back to the beginning. It is easy to get lost or confused if the reader has no idea who the characters are or what they are talking about. Landon Calling is a delightful read, fast-paced, and filled with everything a reader has come to expect from an Amanda M. Lee story. This short is highly recommended to Winchester Witches fans and new readers alike.
